GLOBE is a worldwide hands-on, school-based science program that works in collaboration with NASA, the EPA, the NSF and the US Department of State.  For students, the program provides the opportunity to learn by:
bullettaking scientifically valid measurements in different protocols including atmospheric studies; hydrology; soils; and land cover
bulletreporting measured data through the internet
bulletcreating maps and graphs on the GLOBE website to analyze the data
bulletcollaborating with scientists and GLOBE students around the world
